Tokyo - Tsukuba: USING TSUKUBA EXRESS

Take the express train from Akihabara and get off at Tsukuba Station.

It will take 45 minutes (Rapid train) and it will cost 1150 yen for a one-way ticket.

Narita Airport - Tsukuba: USING AIRPORT BUSES

After arriving at the Tokyo International Airport in Narita, one of the most practical means to reach Tsukuba is by limousine.

Tickets need to be purchased at the Keisei Airport Bus Counter at Narita Airport before boarding.

It picks up passengers at Bus Stop No. 15 of Terminal 1, and at No. 12 of Terminal 2.

It takes approximately 100 minutes to Tsukuba, though of course it depends upon the traffic condition. The ticket costs 2,540 yen.
